Catholic Charities is committed to helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness find affordable, stable housing. Our team helps veterans and their families, people with severe mental illness and others who need shelter. We have multiple programs to help homeless persons throughout Northern Arizona.

Each year, Catholic Charities interns, volunteers and staff partner with other agencies around Arizona for the annual Balance of State Point In Time Homeless Winter Count. The annual count surveys the number of people living on the streets across the state. In late January, our staff searched for homeless in Coconino, Yavapai and Mohave counties.

Corrin Johns, outreach staff for Catholic Charities, hit the road to check homeless hotspots after the recent blizzard and sub-zero temperatures—but specifically to see one 60-year-old man named Jeff.
