North Star Youth Partnership

North Star Youth Partnership engages youth ages 11-18 through educational, recreational, leadership and service-learning opportunities.
What started in 1997 as an educational program to prevent adolescent pregnancy in Yavapai County
has expanded to 11 different programs serving youth in Central and Northern Arizona.

“I felt PAL would be the best fit for me… I thought I could make a difference,” Maddison says. PAL stands for Peer Assistance and Leadership, a youth leadership program run by North Star Youth Partnership.

Letting your child stay home alone and watch younger siblings is an important part of growing up. It’s a huge step toward his/her independence and helps build self-sufficiency. Trusting your teen or preteen to babysit builds his/her self-confidence and lets him/her contribute to your family in a meaningful way.
