From fires and excessive heat to snow and freezing temperatures, seasonal dangers can be life-threatening to those experiencing homelessness. The PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness) program’s specially trained staff and volunteers meet those who are seriously mentally ill and experiencing homelessness wherever they are and connect them with treatment and housing.
Born and raised in Flagstaff, Ariz., Myesha came from a family of abuse, addiction and alcoholism. After years of struggling with addiction and DCS involvement, Myesha got sober and regained custody of her two youngest children. She got an apartment through Catholic Charities and has inspired her relatives to get sober and break the cycle that has plagued her family since childhood.
