Scammers claiming to be from Catholic Charities are targeting clients seeking immigration legal services.

Here’s How It Works

  • The scammer reaches out on WhatsApp, text, email, or social media, offering immigration assistance.
  • They say they’re from Catholic Charities.
  • They ask for personal information such as your Social Security number or address.
  • They request payment over Zelle or other digital payment platforms.

Do Not Respond or Provide Information!

Instead:

  • Immediately contact Catholic Charities to report the fraud.
  • Save the messages but do not engage.
  • If you have provided financial information, report the scam to your bank or credit card company.
