About
Serving the East Valley
When Bev Tittle Baker moved to a Mesa, Ariz. neighborhood in the early 1990s, she discovered a community in need. Parents in the area were desperate to end the gang violence and drug problems that were tearing their families apart.
Bev began talking to neighbors to see what they thought would make the area safer. They believed the solution was to make the neighborhood comfortable for families. Taking their feedback to heart, Bev founded the nonprofit Community Asset & Resource Enterprise (CARE) Partnership in 1994, which began as an afterschool program in her backyard.
CARE quickly grew into a multi-service community center providing myriad wellness, educational and primary health services and activities, primarily operated by volunteers. In 2018, Catholic Charities Community Services acquired CARE after Bev passed away, and continues to carry on her legacy.
CARE Campus’ programs and services are focused on providing dignity to individuals and families who need help to reach stability.
