Grant Helps Refugees with Cleaning and Hygiene Products

Catholic Charities refugee resettlement program received a grant from Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Scottsdale for $3,500. The funds are being used to purchase hygiene and cleaning products that will be distributed to the programs most financially vulnerable families.

Refugee Hygiene Grant

This extended family of 16 moved to Phoenix in 2013 from the Central African Republic. Their native language is a dialect that has been difficult to find interpretation for, but some of the family members speak French as Central African Republic was a French colony.

Catholic Charities has been able to provide employment and housing services, as well as enroll the youngest children in our West Side Head Start program.

These girls are a part of a family of six who began moving to the United States (U.S.) from Burma in 2013. The girls moved here recently with their mother.

Other family members are working and providing for the family. The family is living together, adjusting well and enjoying their supply of donations.
