Westin Kierland's Heart-felt Notes

Written by

There is a growing altruistic trend among millennials. Young adults are leading the charge to make the world a better place. A recent poll suggests 20 percent of adults under 30 years old, volunteered last year. This is higher than the previous generation.

Many companies are creating a culture of volunteerism and encouraging employees to give back, even while on company time.

Westin Kierland Resort and Spa recently worked with Catholic Charities by creating Thinking of You notes.

Three hundred volunteers spent hours creating these notes that will be given to clients in our various programs.

Some notes are clearly written for refugees or veterans, while other letters were perfect for anyone fallen on hard times.

The notes provide hope, encouragement and empowerment for those going through difficult seasons of life.

We want to thank Westin Kierland Resort and Spa employees for giving vulnerable people in our community words of encouragement. These acts of kindness let them know that during their hard times, people living around them care and want to see them succeed.

If you or your company is interested in helping others in your community, please learn more about volunteering to do a project.
