DIGNITY
(Developing Individual
Growth and
New Independence
Through Yourself)
DIGNITY
recognizes prostituted women as victims of sex trafficking and empowers them to
transform their lives through a multi-faceted approach:
-
Intensive residential recovery programs that includes emotional support,
life-skills education, counseling, 12-step based recovery, case management, and
employment readiness.
-
Street outreach
-
Jail outreach and education
-
Diversion education as an alternative to jail time
-
Education and support groups for
girls in juvenile detention who have been in, or are at risk for entering
prostitution (average age of entry is
13)
DIGNITY offers services to all women who have been or are involved in prostitution,
regardless of age, ethnicity or religious faith.
DIGNITY Trafficking programs identify and assist victims of human sex
trafficking to safely leave bondage in the sex trade.
DIGNITY also provides a program for people arrested for soliciting to help them
understand and appreciate the harm to women that they cause.
The DIGNITY Diversion and Housing programs are secure locations. To protect our staff and
clients' safety, we do not publicize our address.
