Join the Catholic Charities HOPE Corps as a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) tax preparer!

Because people with incomes below $49,000 often cannot afford to have knowledgeable people prepare their tax returns, they often do not receive the earned income tax credit they are eligible for. You can help! Your financial assistance on their behalf is an important step on their paths towards escaping poverty.  
 
We have several volunteer opportunities for you to help people with the financial assistance they deserve. Each position carries much responsibility and thus requires extensive training. We provide this training to you at no charge and in several formats, including online. Learn more about our online training at www.VITA-volunteers.org.
