Join the HOPE Corps!
Many of us
thought once upon a time of joining the Peace Corps, but never
got a chance to do so. Now, a new opportunity offers you the
chance to serve in the HOPE Corps!
Become a member of the HOPE (Helping Out Of Poverty For Ever)
Corps, and help combat poverty in Central and
Northern Arizona. You can assist motivated
individuals to realize their goals and to leave behind a life of
uncertainty for a life of security, stability and satisfaction.
Cathy and
Pete Bergmann and Jeff Miks from St. Andrew parish in
Chandler, and Laure Niehaus from
St. Paul in Phoenix joined the HOPE
Corps, and became qualified instructors to teach financial
literacy. A group of women in Catholic Charities DIGNITY program
just graduated from their four weeks of training! If you would
like to become a Financial Literacy instructor, sign up
immediately for Train-the-Trainer sessions,
SEPTEMBER 18 and 19 at multiple locations of CATHOLIC CHARITIES!
Other members of the HOPE Corps are preparing to facilitate 13
sessions of Getting Ahead classes September
through December, which will prepare participants to enter a
Circle of Support. Want to learn more about
facilitating Getting Ahead classes in
Phoenix
or Prescott?
Call us right away to apply to join that team. Want to be part
of a Circle of Support in the New Year? Apply for the HOPE Corps
and hop aboard!
Project HOPE is based on volunteer-led services and relies on qualified,
motivated, dedicated, well-organized volunteers. Volunteer
opportunities include: Project coordinators, Getting Ahead class
instructors, Arizona Saves financial literacy trainers, VITA
volunteer tax preparers, circle leaders, circle members,
administrative assistants, mechanic experts, education experts,
car donation specialists, and more. Volunteer position
descriptions are available. All volunteers receive interview,
screening, orientation, training and extensive support. Call
Tricia Hoyt at 602-650-4832.
