Catholic Charities DIGNITY Diversion programs offer those arrested for prostitution or solicitation the opportunity to avoid jail time. Offenders attend intense education to divert them from re-offending.
Prostituted Individuals
Run in conjunction with the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office, our program provides 36 hours of self exploration and education to develop self esteem and give hope. Participants also receive rehabilitation services including support, education, and treatment to help them escape prostitution. Job placement assistance is also provided. Those who complete the program have their charges dismissed.

Solicitors
Run in conjunction with the City of Phoenix Prosecutor’s Office, our program gives those who have been arrested for soliciting a realistic view of the damage they cause. They realize prostitution is not a victimless crime and that when they solicit, they are supporting the abuse and control of sex trafficked individuals.
A study by Arizona State University reveals that the program has a significant effect on client attitudes and beliefs about prostituted women.
“These young women are slaves to this lifestyle and I don’t want to fund it.”
“Very raw…very eye opening. Just what we need to realize the effect and damage we cause.”
