PATH Outreach Volunteer
Our PATH (Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness) program seeks to encounter as many homeless individuals and families as possible to identify and connect those who are mentally ill with resources and treatment. In addition, we treat all we meet with compassion and dignity and distribute life-sustaining items such as sleeping bags, tents, and water.
Outreach:
PATH needs volunteers to team with staff members for outreach within our communities and surrounding area. We often go at times with social services are not available such as nights and weekends. We distribute needed items and information, make referrals and sometimes just listen to client needs. Training provided.
Resource
Building
:
PATH continuously distributes an array of life-sustaining supplies to meet our outreach clients’ needs including sleeping bags, tents, water, warm clothes, etc. We need volunteers to help increase and manage these donations.
Homeless Count:
PATH conducts a week-long homeless count once a year to estimate the number of homeless families and individuals throughout Coconino County. We need volunteers to distribute and conduct surveys and to recruit other community agencies to help. We also need volunteer help to distill the resulting data.
To volunteer for any of the PATH opportunities, contact Nick Wood, 928.774.9125 ext. 53016 or
