DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage donor relations for new and existing mid-level donors who contribute $500 to $5,000 annually including ongoing relationship management, new prospect research, solicitation and follow-up.
• Maintain and manage mid-level donor files including correspondence, prospect research materials, and proposals.
• Assist in managing relationships with donors including optimizing contact between donors and staff/board, acknowledging contributions, and continually seeking opportunities to further donors’ connection to the organization.
• Conduct prospect research to identify potential donors from both the private and corporate sector.
• Develop yearly plans and calendars for all targeted fundraising, as well as for reporting deadlines and requirements.
• Support grant writing and proposal writing processes, in collaboration with the Director of Foundation/Corporate Proposals and Chief Development Officer.
• Collaborate with the Director of Annual Fund to review and assess donor capacity to increase giving levels.
• Under the direction of the Chief Development Officer plan, schedule and implement annual fundraising breakfast, and golf tournament, as well as creating donor cultivation events that further relationships with current and potential donors.
• Support the Chief Development Officer and other development staff in developing and maintaining strategic professional relationships with Catholic Charities Regional Directors.
• Make Monthly Giving Program presentations to Catholic Parishes during Mass and to public organizations as scheduled.
• Support the organization in the coordination of third party events.
• Assist in coordinating fundraising activities, third party events, and donor recognition activities for Regional Directors.
• Collaborate with department staff on other activities as needed.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time by CDO.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have good understanding and acceptance of the mission of Catholic Charities.
• Must have knowledge of human behavior and the development of relationships over time as they relate to development.
• Must have an understanding of the nature of development and the importance of putting donors’ needs first.
• Must have excellent verbal and communications skills.
• Must be skilled in WORD and EXCEL software.
• Must be able to accurately input and extract information from Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.
• Must use good judgment and restraint in disclosure of personal and business information.
• Must be tactful, articulate, and diplomatic in dealing with people of various social and cultural backgrounds.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred with a minimum of two years development experience or without a Bachelor’s Degree must have 4 to 6 years development experience.
SALARY: $45,000 to $55,000, depending on experience.
