PHOENIX – (Jan. 16, 2008)…Paul Martodam, chief executive of Catholic Charities is pleased to announce that Robert Brown has joined the non-profit as chief administrative officer.

“Bob has the perfect combination of business expertise and compassion for underserved populations,” said Martodam. “He was the ideal fit for Catholic Charities, which is one of the state’s leading social service organizations.”

Brown, a Paradise Valley resident, has an extensive background as a C level executive in the technology, finance and health care fields. He has successfully reengineered a number of companies from start-ups to larger corporations. Brown most recently served as president and chief operating officer of a start-up company specializing in desktop video conferencing for business and consumer markets.

At Catholic Charities, Brown will be working with the information systems, finance and human resource departments to strengthen the infrastructure to better support program services and expand Catholic Charities’ mission of helping people in need and providing hope.

“I have reached a stage in my life where making a contribution to society is a high priority,” said Brown.

Brown has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Bonaventure and a Master’s of Business Administration from State University of New York.
